Hi Gang, its been great seeing some fantastic animals again on Tau cam,and many thanks go to frisc and cerinthe and others who are posting their captures. It really helps to bring back great memories.
Of course Im glad to see Chandras posts and that she is keeping safe.
Terribly hot weather has kept me in alot, and even when out in it there isnt alot of birding to be done. That will change soon,as fall migration..believe it or not is starting already.
Must get everyone on here to say hello and check in. Take care everyone!

Mother Nature put on a light show for us last night. Started with a low rumble and then the lights. The sky was crisscrossed with flashes of lightning, light flared in clouds overhead lighting up the area ( which had no power) like it was day. Actualy having no power made it better as there was nothing to distract from the display. Twice I saw what I can only discribe as like a fire ball that flew through the air then was gone was really something to see. It lasted about an hour then moved on leaving a group of people and I talking about it and marveling at the sight. The rain that followed was much too short but refreshing anyway. At one poing the entire cloud above us lit up as if someone had turned on a light then darkness again, it was so bright I could close my eyes and see it still. What a wonderful sight and exciting with a little fear of possible fire on mountain but today no sign of any so big sigh of releif.
