I wonder if the Mara River in Africa is sister to the Mara River in Nunavut Canada? lol. There is also a town and Lake here named Mara after the man who first settled it, John Andrew Mara.
Hi and bye Bomites, sorry I couldn't answer email from last nite, darn server is down, grrrrrrrrr! Bill just called and will be here shortly, so I better be on the move! Ursula, hi, long tome no see, my friend!! Thanks to my frends for the congrats on the moderator thingie, but I still don't know my duties, heehee!!
Thanks to our many friends for wishing us well on our trip. Africa is always such a big dream for so many people and I am so lucky to be able to go again. To those that have been there I will keep all of your tips and ideas and thank you for them. To those whose African dream hasn't come true YET...I will toss a stone into the Mara river and make a wish your dream comes true. See you in two weeks with too many pictures ...LOL!! ...and ROY...be sure the dung will be wrapped neatly...right next to the cake..heehee!!!
oxox and many hugssss...
annie and Flo, have a wonderful trip! Kenya is beautiful, Mombasa a multiculti town with much charme. If you have the occasion, go to Dr.Halter's nearby private wild park on the main road northwards, it's worthwhile. You can caress two 2oo years old turtles which will welcome you with a sympathetic rumble! Enjoy the colours and the fragrance of the flowers and the bush sound and the waves of the Indian Ocean and the tasteful fruits....And bring back many many pics, please! Ciao , enjoy!
