Hummingbird Hawk Moth

I know that those in the USA have hummingbirds, but I wonder how many of you have seen one of these.

I have seen a few of these, they are every where in france when I go on holiday there and have seen one in the midlands in the UK outside my school a few years ago! Laughing out loud

Ex-centric, last summer these hawk moths were abundant. In fact, for most butterflies and moths it was a great summer. Here in belgium we had a influx of butterflies, which are very rare for us and they didn't come from the south as you should expect in a warm summer, but they came from the north. Unfortunately I didn't see the rare ones, but I have seen a few beautiful moths.

I was born and raised in Colchester, Essex UK but have never seen one of those. I will specifically watch for them next visit.....something new to look for Laughing out loud
