Silke, the beetle is a Strangalia maculata, the colour pattern can be variable, but the antenne is always yellowish at the base. I have a pic of such a beetle myself __________________

I don´t now the name, but it looked nice and so i shot it.
We call that Little Fox __________________

thank for info- but i have only a 100-400 mm lens but can take pics about 3ft away- so am gona try some bugs when i get a chance - thanks __________________

I don't have a macro lens :cry: I use the highest resolution I can and crop to a reasonable size. I have heard that you can get a reversing ring for a standard lens which will allow you to take "macro" shots. I haven't tried it myself.
