Hi folks

Nasty grey, wet, cold weather here . This was the worst August I've seen in my long life!

They have announced snow up to 1500 m for today, so it is going to be a very long winter! Starlings and swallows are meeting about to head for warmer spots, for Africa! Would like to be one of them, LOL. Storks and other wandering birds have already left weeks ago.

Ceri, if you are here: Please let me know to which valley you are going to travel this year! Maybe we could meet (you know, my elder son is living in Sierre) or at least chat at the phone?

LOL!!!! not sure about Edessa......not too many ...I'll check tomorrow morning...but on Sunday when we went at "our" beach near Thessaloniki I saw them flying over our heads

Ursula our storks are still here...very late for them...Maybe, becouse of the bad weather in spring, they came later than usual....

Cerinthe I have forgotten to write it...I went before 10 days at Agra's Lake and I saw at least four ferrouginous ducks...three females and one drake....besides the national road !!!! (OK national roads in Greek country are tooo narrow that hardly one believes that these roads are really national roads!!!)

Hi Ursula, I'll be going to the Vaud Alps and the name of the place is Leysin. I looked at the weather and the webcam for Leysin, it's totally in fog and the weather there today is 9°C Laughing out loud
I will be there from 3 till 12 sept.
Next year I will apply on time to go back to St Luc, I enjoyed it so much there.
