Isn't it just fantastic anniecat? It makes our time spent 'waiting-out the grey years' since the 'old' africam went under worthwhile, just to have the priveledge of watching, and listening to, this one cam.

Incidentlally, I recently (just yesterday) discovered that Nomfu is, in fact, Campbell himself and he has promised to shed his 'nose' (nickname) soon here to save any further confusion for cammers and the 'dork'..... that's me, not that I really needed to explain that? Laughing out loud

Thank you AfriCam, cameraman, Nomfu and everybody concerned ! Thank you all for your effort, work and good will to bring back this wonderful site !! The new streaming cam is great (sound !!).
There is just one thing we are missing badly....its the old AfriCam acacia tree in the logo....for us, as a symbol, it stood for all the people that held on and did NOT let go, good times or bad for AfriCam...the so-called "oldtimers" who are still here. To us it stood for the beauty AND the toughness of Africa. We know (annie~ and I) that changing the logo back to this old but beautiful tree would involve a lot of work (and maybe other problems), but we would be extremely grateful and happy to have "our" AfriCam-tree back.
Sincerely yours,

annie~ and florian

Hi nomfu, congrats to Africam, you people have done well and the new cam is super, just outstanding, glad I hung around all these years for the re-incarnation! Love the new homepage, too, clear, easy to navigate, well done to all!

Ditto Nomfu - Lloyd expresses my thoughts exactly and I am so glad that I also 'hung around' - whilst many abandoned Africam because they saw no future in it - how wrong were they?

I envision Africam going from strength to strength now..... the old dot-com era is over but there are new and exciting opportunities for web-based sites opening up and I hope (and believe) that Campbell has his finger firmly on the button and will be able to exploit these for the benefit of both his business and for Africammers.

Good Luck nomfu!
