Hi,
My name is Peter Braat aka Ranger Piet. Originally I'm from Holland, but after some assignments in Germany Switzerland and Kuwait for my boss, decided to quit and move to South Africa early last year.
I live with my partner René and her two daughters and am currently doing volunteering work in Kayamandi, a township close tp Stellenbosch in the Western Cape. We're trying to improve the preschool situation and have recently taken over the management of one of the local crèches. (For more on this see: kayanownow.org)
And of course I love wild life. Being in the Cape and away from the big parks in the East of SA I took up birding and have become quite a birding enthousiast with currently already 325 species on my SA life list. (Still over 600 are not on my list though, so lots of things remain to be seen...)
