Very observant. Crows, Starlings  and Sparrows are swooping right by it. We are going to place some bird feeders out there very soon so the students can watch what  other  types of birds are in there.

I wish  we could keep peanuts in a feeder for the Blue Jays, but it would mean having to go in there to often and un-till that corn is cut, it's a no go.

Every now and then, today, I would notice something large swoop by the cam. Is that Mama or just a crow or something up close & personal? It's always just a flash so I can't tell.

Beaver, deer, & coyote seem to be quite stealthy.

Not sure a bear would go for a bird so hopefully everything is okay.

Sure it wasn't  a conservation officer checking things out...or one of the farmers?

Did I understand correctly that the farmer & wife are the owners of the plane we keep hearing? Is this property that remote? Surprised

Actually we weren't concerned about a bear going after our eagles, we were concerned if we had bear out there again, we had to pull the kids class out of there.

Yes the nest site is in a remote area of sorts. There is an airport nearby thus the sounds of planes and helicopters. Earlier in the year we had to file complaints at the airport as the helicopters were literally hovering right over top of the FIRST nest tree. That is why they moved and built a new nest....grrrrr. So we were quite surprised they even had 2 chicks.

Nope the noises are animal made. I am also beginning to think it may be one of our eagles flapping and falling in the branches. There is a lot of cracking and breaking of branches. If it is, then she is either right on the ground and trying to get back up the tree, or falling through a tree.

I just can't see with this camera....grrrrr.

Less then 10 feet from that microphone is a creek with a huge beaver lodge in it. Those beavers have chewed down a lot of little tress right at that spot.

Oh Oh.....we can hear some very loud crunch, snap, crackle in the bush right below the microphone. Unfortunately the corn is over 12 feet tall so I can't see what it is.

1. Black Bear

2. Beaver

3. Deer

4. Coyotes

OR our baby eagle is on the ground. But that seems un-likely as the noises seemed to come from something way bigger.

Darn! I must have just missed it. Decided there was no inspiration to 'jump' with all that wet rain lol.

Just heard them yak yak yakking again. One of them is in the tree to the left of the nest tree. They will come back to the nest so I will leave the camera on both trees and see if we can spot them flying back and forth. Keep your fingers crossed that the kids get to see them again. If not on here, we will take the kids to the site and they can see them in person.

That;s the best part of my day.....Smiling

One of the chicks is vocalizing a lot. That's a good thing...Smiling

When you do see them fly back to the nest tree, and they will fly back, don't fret when you see them crash and burn so to speak. It looks just terrible when you see it and you think they are hurt, but they are not. they have a lot to learn yet before they fine tune those magnificent wings  so they can do it more gracefully like their parents. It will take a few days if not weeks.

You may also see them fall through the branches as we did when the first chick fell from the nest. Again, don't fret, there stronger than you think. Just a smit bit clumsy at this stage.

It was so cool to see her glide like that. I just zoomed the camera back up on the nest. 6:AM here. I can hear one if not both right near the tree yak yak yakking. They will return to the nest along with the parents for a few weeks. I Sooooo want to see them again.

Man are these LIVE cams ever a blast. However, there is NONE better than our waterhole....Smiling
