It seems that there are many trivial problems before you can just snap away. I started this topic so people can post their problems, maybe someone else already had it and solved it.
What I heard of so far is:

1 Not the full cam window shows in the snapped image.
2 The streaming don't stop.

How do we solve it and if you have a problem please post it here.

I use FRAPS, I'm sorry I can't help you, and some will use it not only for stills but also for videos.
I only do still captures.

This webpage helped me solve the problem of capturing black images:
How to fix a blank capture of a movie player
http://pixelmetrics.com/Tips/VidBlank/index.php
I had to change the video accelaration in WMP.

The webpage also has instructions how to solve the problem in QuickTime, RealPlayer, Winamp and AOL Player.

Well.. I have followed those instructions and still couldn't get it to work right. Puzzled

I also tried that FRAPS.. Couldn't get that to work either?

What is the capturing device? Maybe my computer doesn't have something it needs to convert the live video to still shots.

Looks like I'll just have to enjoy everybody elses beautiful screenshots.

Thanks for your suggestions and help!

Melanie did you switch off your overlays in windows media player? Honestly I fiddled with this whole things for ages and when it finally did come right I was so confused I didn't know what I had done  I ended up with Winsnap which is now working perfectly. I couldnt get FRAPS to work at all.

You have to read the help file for sure, it's easy once you know how.

I've been using it for several months now. You have to configure it to your taste.

Read everything in help file and on their site. It's by experimenting that you will get the nack of it Eye-wink

Also let it start on system startup. In that case, it's always ready when you want to capture something you like.

Have to go to sleep now. Tomorrow is TGIF Laughing out loud Laughing out loud

May you have to reopen the cam after the changes....
That's another idea for people having problems

Also if you change video acceleration, you disable overlays automaticaly at MWP...Same at RP

Ursula - if you have it dowloaded you should be able to open it up and start clicking. Just open up the Nkhorho cam and the snap programme and start snapping. Laughing out loud

We have just found and installed a program called Screen Virtuoso Pro. It not only captures video but still pic's as well and more. It is SO easy a child can do it. I am one of those PC challenged person's and if I can do this, trust me, any one can do this. We removed all free versions of Fraps from the school PC's and installed this program today. Everyone is able to use it with ease. Hope this helps.

Thanks Ingwe for that URL tip - I followed it until I got to the page below, then followed the instructions:

http://pixelmetrics.com/Tips/VidBlank/GlobalAcceleration.php

What I can now do is press the "PrtScr" button on the keyboard and get the image using PhotoShop i.e File>New and Edit>Paste - the whole screen is saved, and the picture has to be cropped - but it's there.

Thanks.
