I'm curious. Have there ever been any reptiles at the water hole caught by cam? I would imagine there are lots of snakes there.

For the most part reptiles will, in savanna ecosystems, satisfy their entire water requirements from their prey. Snakes in particular have one of the most efficient digestion systems, extracting up to 80% of the calory count from their meal. Due to the fact that they consume their prey whole, they benefit for their victims entire moisture content.

Other than the aquatic reptiles (crocdiles, terrapins, water monitors etc) reptiles have no need to visit free standing water bodies on a daily basis. This is not to say that you won't see them on the cam though.

Until later
Todd

last night we captured on video an incredible Lizard near the water hole. As yet we do not know what it is. The classrooms have asked in the kids school section. As soon as we can we will post the video. It was just amazing.

Yes sparrow it was. But the children are only allowed to go into the thread that was set up for them. I was only asking if the picture could be posted over there. We thought we had caught all this on video but apparently we did not. so this is the first pic we have seen of it. The children are only allowed to print out pictures off there thread.

Thank you from the classrooms of Canada.

Nothing to forgive silly. Were just really careful about what the kids can read and see on ANY site. So we set restricitions and they adhere to them. The putfiles and YouTubes, heck that's a real big problem. Have you ever opened those up with out pulling them out seperate ? We pay a lot of money by a web site builder to do just that so the kids can see them. If we didn't, they open it up and the vid's all around the one's you would like them to see are surrounded with porn. Yes we have to be VERY careful, thus the rules.
