You are welcome. I suggest that you download the 2 files if you want to listen to them another time. I'm not going to keep them on my website for long as I will need the disk space for something else.

Thank you so much for sharing those mp3 files! I think I heard them both, but I think last night I was hearing the baboons more. I'll have to pay closer attention and refer back to your mp3s when I'm not sure.... or hopefully someone would be here to say what it is. Thank you again for sharing your expertise!

The hyena call I heard was a one-syllable whoop. It called a few times. The call wasn't load, so it wasn't anywhere close to the waterhole.

The calls that could be heard 5-10 minutes were baboons. When you hear them like that at night, it's often because a predator is close.

Then, about 3 minutes ago, a leopard called. The leopard call sounds a bit like a saw.
