2 AM watching pete's pond when I had the pleasant fortune of watching a very large lizard : give itself a mud bath and lay in the waters of a small depression lazily looking around, I watched it for quite a while then it went onto some bushes and I lost sight. Close to where it may have been in concealment some birds wandered around and I wondered mabe it was going to catch one but my heavy eyes and weariness made it impossible to stay awake any longer lol. It was a wonderful sighting and sorry to say never even thought to try to get any pics :cry: What a wonderful critter it was, I hope it comes back tonight lol.
