There was a lot of thunder and lightning earlier...maybe they moved it downward to sort of protect it...not sure...so the light wouldn't burn into something? (I don't have a clue...just guessing) It's 1:50 AM or so there, so everyone is asleep now prob.

Hi Sueso

Am still lurking myself trying to guess what the noises are - something just lapping up the water. I guess a waterbuck - how about you your turn. Laughing out loud Laughing out loud Laughing out loud

I still have some sound, this is a doozy of a storm - I think the cam may well be down until morning Sad It is the rainy season in that part of SA so we can expect this to happen a fair bit. Good for them they need the rain, but not for us

Is there anyone else who thinks the injured hyaena doesn't look as skinny as last week, or is it just my wishful thinking? The wound on the back still looks bad but he/she seems to have eaten...
I think he looks somewhat better as well...certainly has gained some weight and wound is not as bright red as it was. Seeing him in daylight makes me think that is not the usual...Got a REAL good look at him yesterday as he was laying in the water, but alas...didn't want to stop and take pics as then I wouldn't be able to watch him. They zoomed right in on his wound. I bet a lion grabbed him and tossed him off his meal...
