**P.S. ** BIRDS AND MOST ANIMALS CAN ONLY COUNT TO ONE - SO IF YOU SET UP A SMALL BLIND IN YOUR YARD THE BIRDS GET USED TO IT FAST- THEN GET YOUR HUSBAND OR FRIEND TO WALK TO THE BLIND WITH YOU- YOU GO IN SIT AND SET UP- YOUR FRIEND LEAVES- THE BIRDS COME BACK VERY QUICKLY- THEN YOU ** AIM- FOCUS * AND CLICK - ALL YOU NEED IS *** TIME - TIME - TIME Laughing out loud Laughing out loud

I know his feeling. The only problem I have is Whitey! He won't come around if he knows we are out there now. Most of the others are pretty good now. I like the idea of the blamket though...LOL! It's getting cold ot there at times!

pammy ** i know the feeling about birds or critters being skidish when you have camera- i toss bird seed out on the lawn covering about a 10ft square- and have had more birds come then using the feeders- found a site you may get a few ideas from and a chuckle - http://www.shutterfreaks.com/Tips/PhotographingBirds.html

Thanks Barry!! Now I can add it to Flicker and my Picassa Web Album! It's a beautiful bird and has been around for a few days, but this is the first time I have been able to get a pic. Every time I go out the back door I am taking my cam. A couple of days ago I was raking leaves only a few feet from the feeder and he landed there even though I was raking. When I took these pics this morning, there was a black-capped chickadee trying to get some peanuts too and the nuthatch kept chasing him away.

yes- yes - i would say a white breasted nuthatch for sure-- out here on the island you would have 100 people at your place taking oics of it as they are quite rare here - nice to see the pic --
