A beautiful Great Horned Owl,my newly formed bird group saw today.(Sunday) It was in a very small woods, which is privately owned by a nature conservancy. It backs closely onto a small residential area. It really demonstrates how saving a small woodlot, provides valuable habitat for such a wonderful bird. There is a resident pair,so they nest at this location somewhere.
