Hehe, really it would be hysterical to see a hyaena come flying over that tree and land by the water. It could be I guess if there were a group of hyaenas but with mom and all those aunties around.....I think the hyaenas would be mincemeat in the end. __________________

It would be hysterical. I would probably fall out my chair laughing.... I suppose if you had enough hungry hyenas, they might try to seperate the baby from the herd...but it would be an awful risk to take.

Wonder if those hyenas are actually giving serious thought to trying to take that baby ellie? Silly hyenas... Might be sitting here watching and hear an ellie trumpet....and see a hyena come flying over the trees and into the pond...LOL LOl, now that would be a sight to see wouldn't it? Hehe.....if the hyaenas are smart they will stay away from that baby ellie. __________________

Thanks guys, the ellies look odd with the coloring tonight. The hyaenas came along not long after the last ellies went through, they were just sniffing the ground and then went out the way the ellies did. __________________

I'm with Maxx, very cool pix, yourself included, Maxx. Calista, that last ellie pic looks like a bronze statue, lol. Thank you all for sharing these amazing sightings. __________________

Hi SA,
Today was a good day for the ellies. That baby one was adorable.
