I could well be Hunjoro, I have seen the cattle egrets in Alabama. This morning there was a dove at the pond that looked alot like our mourning doves here.

I find it interesting that some bird species are so widespread - I expect African wildlife to be exotically different from what I see in my neighborhood. I know the cattle egrets we have are an import from Africa. I wonder about these guys.

I don't know if they have them there, but it looks like the black-crowned night herons we have here.

Yes, I hope Fani can ID it, I haven't a clue...it could be a kori bustard from the top but don't see the long tail piece....maybe he lost it.
