It looks just like the green-backed herons we have here. I always expect my African wildlife to be exotically different from the local, and I'm always surprised when something isn't. __________________

any one have any idea of the id of that bird. Looks like a kingfisher of sorts, but I'm not sure. __________________

Missed the genet, darn, I did see the closeup of the bird though and now Fatty. Yes, Afke is doing a great job tonight. __________________

I saw the genet. No leopard sighting that I know of but the cam op said she heard one calling. __________________

I'm at work, so watching on and off as I can, but there's nothing on the NG forum about a leopard sighting, so I guess we didn't miss one. They did report seeing a genet earlier though. __________________

That would be nice to see a leopard come in for a drink. I was off doing chores so sure hope I didn't miss anything. __________________
