I don't know.  I've been watching this cam for about a year.  They've never used auto-pan during that time to my knowledge.

Good evening...: )

Can someone please explain the Petes Pond cam to me?  Why does it keep scanning the same areas?  If something shows up, do we have to be lucky enough for it to be in one of those areas?

I haven't heard any of what I would call roars, but something more like deep fast snorts or grunts.

Could it be something else?  I know a lot of animals make weird sounds.  If it is lions they are being very vocal.  Has anyone checked the Pondies board?

What do you think Aquila?  Do the sounds we're hearing tonight sound like lions to you?

I just heard them again, sounding fainter this time.  I think they've been around for days if not longer, but they just don't show themselves often.

Aquila,

Thanks for the video of the lionesses and cubs.  I had the cam up but completely missed them.  Maybe they will come back tonight. (fingers crossed).
