A Brand New Day at Pete's Pond
Pete's Pond Cam Discussion - Thursday 23 August, 2007
Hi Ms Charlie! Wasn't that leopard a beauty? I was so not expecting to see her and there she was. Even lingered long enough to get a great look at her.
Oh my gosh, we saw that to but we missed pushing record. We had so many live streams up at the time we hesitated to long till we figured out where all the screaming and thrashing was coming from and missed it..
We can hardly wait to see the video. We did manage to capture the full visit by the Leopard and did record it all.
Hi Ann, only one croc that I know of and his name is Fatty. I think he is young about 6 yrs but he sure can create havoc for those trying to get a drink. I have the video of him going after the warthog. It was at a distance and mostly you only saw water and bodies? flying in the air. The cam op explained what had happened. I'll try to upload it later when/if I ever get all the lion videos from Nkorho up.
Hi, everyone! Since someone mentioning a leopard sighting, I had to find out about this site too! Now I will be addicted to another site! Last night was so exciting at nk that I wasn't exploring this site, but if I ever get through the 200 plus emails I need to read from 2 other chat groups and still keep an eye on 2 live feeds, I will explore a bit more. Already I have seen some animals and birds that I haven't seen at nk yet. Eland, ostrich, ibis, guinea fowl, other birds I need to learn about and a crocodile! I take it that was "fatty" that had something to do with a warthog piglet yesterday? How many crocs are in this pond? Oh, I am going to get TB (tired butt, lol) from sitting so long at the computer! I already have carpal tunnel in both wrists! Looking forward to chatting at times on this forum too!
What an absolutely stunning sunset they are having at Pete's Pond today.
The warthog family looking frisky this afternoon. Pop was definitely into his bath
Believe it is a guinea fowl. That is probably not spelled correctly. They usually appear in bunches at PP
Anyone watching this? What a beautiful bird...black face and throat..buff/white head. light brown body with orange beak and long pointed tail...anyone id it?
Just a bump to see if this post goes thru. Looked like 2 impala there at the water's edge. They were a little nervous about getting a drink tho.
