It's sad I have to "see" vicariously thru ya'lls posts. No matter what I do with my pc I can not get the feed to work anymore. Ever since right before the EP came live I have not been able to view the live feeds. Very sad! But thankfully ya'll describe everything so wonderfully I can picture it in my head!
problem viewing streaming cams
That's great, jabanga! I am glad you are able to watch the cams again.
Well I'm all fixed up now- although I do need to figure out what is causing the problem thru the browser itself- but that can wait......I wanna enjoy my animals!!! Plus I FINALLY get to see the EP cam!!! WOOHOO!
I want to thank EVERYONE for their help!!! I had not only the Africam boardies helping me but a software message board helping me get my SA Fix back! Right now I have NK minimized but am LOVING just being able to HEAR the morning birds telling SA Good Morning!
Jen, my suggestion is to go to the WMP link in the trouble shooting thread above and either step down your player or go up. Then you can always try to go back to what you had and see if it will work for you again. I bet your WMP is corrupted somehow. Many of us had the problem when EP started on, and that was the fix at that time. My problem at that time was also my ISP was having difficulties with only half connections. I had lots and lots of buffering But everything is hunky dorey now!
on it's way Mike, it's the only way I know to check if it is their connection (isp) or software problems.
Auntie Lyn, good idea about link to WMP, can you please send it to me too. I would like to have it. I only connect thru browsers.
Jen, if you have more than one browser, try opening the cam in the other one than you normally use. I will send you a link for NK to try in your WMP. Oh, are you running windows or mac? If it's mac, I'm a fish outa water.
Are you having problems connecting to any other websites? Have you tried to upgrade to latest version of Media Player? Also have you tried Firefox Browser?
When I choose either the EP or NK cam, it will tell me connecting to server......and then come to a dead stop. I have tried everything in the sticky in this forum, I have even "crashed" (restored to factory condition) both my desktop & laptop pc's. I have updated all software (desktop runs WinXP laptop runs Vista) and drivers, still to no avail. Am wondering if it is possibly a problem with my ISP rather than with my computers themselves?
Please tell us what problems you are having exactly, we might be able to help you if you tell us more ?
