The "loaded but with errors on page" is caused by your internet security package blocking ads on the page. Your viewing problem is present because the the Nkorho live feeds are called through known advertising sites which are being blocked by your ad blocking or internet security program. Try turning off your ad blocker or internet security program, clear your temporary internet files, close & re-start Internet Explorer and then run one of the live feeds. (Forgot to add the close & restart of IE after clearing the TIF's). __________________

Internet Explorer Version 7 Settings When a new IE update arrives, it comes with general settings provided by Microsoft which may or may not impede your receiving the Nkorho feeds. Changing them is worth a try if you can't view the cameras when they are working. A) Load your Internet Explorer B) Select the General Tab at the top B.1) Under the "Tabs" heading, click "settings" B.2) Uncheck the box for "enable tabbed browsing" and click OK C) Select the Security Tab at the top C.1) If it allows you to do so, click "reset all zones to default level" and then click Apply. D) Click the Privacy Tab at the top D.1) Zone should be set to medium or click on "default" if you are allowed to do so. D.2) Un-check the "turn on popup blocker", click apply and then click OK. (This turns off the IE7 popup blocker not the one of your security suite). E) Close IE7 completely, re-open it and try receiving a live feed again.

topcat, Thanks for helping folks. I do ok at home, but I'm going to try your suggestions at work where I can't get the cams anymore. I suspect it is the firewall and may not be able to circumvent that one. __________________

For Vista users: If, after installing the Adobe Flash Player, you go to a site featuring Flash content and are greeted with a message notifying you that you need to install the Flash player, your problem is you need to run the installation as Administrator. Follow these steps to properly install Adobe Flash Player: For Vista (32 bit): 1. Click Start then Run. 2. Enter C:\Windows\System32\ in the window and click OK. 3. Scroll down and open the Macromed directory. 4. Open the Flash directory. 5. Right-click FlashUtilxxb. (xx should be10 for the current version) 6. Select Run as Administrator. 7. When the UAC prompt appears, select Continue. 8. Follow the Flash Player installation wizard. For Vista (64 bit): 1. Click Start then Run. 2. Enter C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ in the window and click OK. 3. Scroll down and open the Macromed directory. 4. Open the Flash directory. 5. Right-click FlashUtilxxb. (xx should be10) 6. Select Run as Administrator. 7. When the UAC prompt appears, select Continue. 8. Follow the Flash Player installation wizard. Once the wizard completes, Flash Player has been properly installed and will now function properly.

The newest Flash version 10 cannot be installed on many operating systems which are no longer supported by their manufacturers. But, Adobe still offers Version 9 which can be used. Here is a link describing the requirements for older systems: http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/productinfo/systemreqs/flashplayer9/ Here is a link to download the Flashplayer 9: http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=kb406791&sliceId=1

If you are unable to see the volume controls and full screen toggle icon check that your view is not zoomed out with zoom text only unchecked. Any zoom less then 100% makes the controls not appear. You can zoom out with the zoom text only checked in firefox so the cam viewer will not change size. The problem with the volume raising to 100% when the ad came on has been worked on and per Admin, it is to now only to go up to 50% point so hope that helps those that were having that problem. __________________

one of the members recently were unable to view the cams here or elsewhere when using Firefox but could with IE. They also had problems with some forums. Here is what fixed their problem. It was a problem with the firefox profile. this was the instructions they were given and used and it worked. This is copied from what they passed on to me so if any problems with the instructions please let me know. Instructions: What you can do now is to simply create a new profile and work with that completely without migrating files to it, but please don't delete the old one untill all issues are settled and you really don't need it anymore. If you don't understand something just use the hyperlinks to read up on it or you can refer back to me: It is important to know what the Profile Manager is and where the Profile folder is stored. Here's how to go about it: Finding the Profile Folder: 1. Choose Start → Run You can also navigate directly to your folder at the following path: C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ The Application Data folder is a hidden folder; to show hidden folders, open Windows Explorer and choose Tools | Folder Options | View (tab) | Show hidden files and folders Now go this site and do as explained step by step: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Creating_a_new_Firefox_profile_on_Windows __________________

For folks having a problem viewing Africam with the Adobe Flash Player, there's some other things to try before giving up.
1) Un-install the flash player using the Adobe link Maxx provided a few posts back. Insure you tell it to get rid of everything. But, don't re-install it yet.
2) Check your machine and see if you have Apple's Quicktime on it. If you do, Apple included a malware program called QTTASK.exe whose purpose is to direct all video traffic through its own quick launch program. This allows Quicktime to determine whether you should display something on the viewer you want or if Quicktime should use itself. The only way to rid your machine of the malware is to un-install Quicktime and tell it to remove everything. Don't be scared by their telling you your files won't function if you do. They have put attachments on everything you have viewed to force you back to Quicktime and you want them removed!
3) Download and install the new Adobe Flash program using the link from Maxx a few posts back. UNCHECK the "install msn toolbar" box before downloading it. In fact, ALWAYS un-check boxes for free "extra" things when downloading needed programs. They, (especially "toolbars"), ultimately can cause conflicts on your machine. (If you aren't using any of the "toolbars" you have on your IE or Mozilla/Firefox, just remove them using the program add/install found on your computers control panel. And, never use them to find & remove spyware or other items as they can potentially cause damage to your OS).
4) Clear your temporary internet files, re-start Internet Explorer and try loading one of the Africam links again.
5) If there's still a problem with the display, such as speed, right click on the center of the viewer, then click on settings and a window will appear. There's a box to enable or disable video acceleration. Click on the box to change its state and then close it. Re-clear your temporary internet files, close and re-open Internet Explorer and see if you can now view one of the flash sites.
Not sure if this helps or not....but for those removing and re-installing Flash 10....be sure you are doing it properly. Adopey has a bizarre way to do it....
First....you can't do it from your control panel. That will just pooch your player. You can't do it manually through the C drive....that could pooch your whole browser maybe. There is an uninstall utility that should be given to you when you install the player. They don't....that's why they are Adopey. You can get the uninstall utility here:
http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=tn_14157
Now you download that critter to your machine....close down ALL your browser windows and anything else you don't need....then run the utility. After that....you reboot your machine. Then you open ONE broswer window and go here for a fresh install of the latest player.
http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
If all that doesn't work....then the problem is elsewhere....like firewall, your ISP, etc.
this was posted in the waterhole thread earlier today (maybe it will help)...
Tman and Janice (Poppet) figured out which url on the adblock was causing the pop up to not play, once that is allowed - voila!
And - if anyone else is having a problem - it's this one
tremormedia/admanager.swf
which is free at the following address.
