Location and subject matter
The camera is located at the SIAG Pyramids Hotel in Giza, about 1.5 kilometers East North East of the Pyramids Plateau. It is placed at the highest point in the area and is over 200 feet above street level. This gives the best possible view of the Pyramids looking from east to west into the sunset. The Pyramids are located only a few kilometers south of Cairo, several hundred meters from the last houses in the southernmost part of the city proper, where a limestone cliff rises abruptly from the other side of a sandy desert plateau. The outer limit of the city can be seen on the wide angle, night camera during the day. There are three pyramids in view starting from the left the tallest one is known as Khufu, the Great Pyramid and the tallest in Egypt, the middle pyramid is known as Khafre with the smaller pyramid on its left is known as the Menkaure.

When to view
There are two cameras, one wide angle night camera that you will be able to see the city lights in the fore ground with the pyramids in the back ground. During the day another camera with a zoom is trained on the pyramids. The images are normally refreshed at 30-second intervals. The cams are west facing and offer spectacular views of the sunset. Due to the conditions on the ground and the environment, the view is often obscured slightly or hazy.
