Hi Lost. Most people in here refer to any unidentified antelope as "bokkie". It's hard at nighttime to tell one from another. Flower __________________

Hi Lost,
The term "bokkie" is a lovely South African word. Used as a term of endearment it can be applied to either sex, and literally translated it means 'little buck', or 'little deer'. The English equivalent is 'sweetheart', and, as Jan said , it's used as a general term for any unidentified antelope we might see.
