Question about Potted plant owl.

Hi blogers,

Did the mother owl remove one of the owllets from the box?

What did she do with it?

Thank you Tourneyman1 for

Thank you Tourneyman1 for your reply to my question.

donnabac told me that the egg was removed by human hand as advised by a group in Johanasberg.

When I was watching the other day, the mother owl popped in at the planter and when she left, I couldn't see one of the two owlets and

thought maybe she had taken off with it. Guess it was just hidden from my view.

Thank you again for taking time to write.

The third egg was removed

The third egg was removed Tuesday based on advice from FreeMe Rehabilitation Center in Johannesburg. It was stinking. If it had broken, there was concern that PPO might abandon the nest and owlets. According to the owners, PPO appeared to appreciate it Smiling. You can follow the Pot Plant Owl blog here. They also have a Facebook page: Pot Plant Owl.

Only 2 of the 3 eggs

Only 2 of the 3 eggs hatched.  The other egg was still in the nest and visible yesterday but I don't know what has happened to it since then or if it is just pushed out of view of the cam.  The two owlets are still there and doing well it seems.

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change, courage to change the things that I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.... especially when the cams go down.
