Elephant Plains is our only major problem left, although we are still some way off to getting it back - no ETA yet

The old site was just little user "friendlier".  Not too many like "change", so I'll just have to navigate and get used to this new web!!Wink

Forums are VERY confusing. Everything is EXTREMELY slow. I just changed my vote to bring back the old Africam.

just to be clear... it's not the CHANGE I think we're all against it's the limited ease of use there now seems to be with the site.  I agree it is colourful... but I don't find the tabs at the tops of the pages to be 'in sync' with the format of the rest of the site. to me africam is a smart, sophisticated look - and these kinds of things seem to make it 'kid-ish'... With this huge change, at least make the site map easy to find... if there is one...

I, too like Pete, have been away from making a postings for a long time-- ( registered on/with Africam in March 2007)-- then just got back from a month's vacation to find everything has changed. I tried today (7-21-07) to do a posting on a forum and found out my user name & password were not working correctly-finally figured out I had to click on "I accept" in terms & agreement thingy before I could even proceed.  Why???  Why did I need to do this if I already had been activated/accepted way back in March?  Then when I was finally able to submit a post to a forum I was FLOODED with emails to my in-box informing me of new postings--How do I get the email notifications to STOP!!!!  I've gone into "my profile" and tried to figure out how to STOP the email notifications but there are NO directions/information on how to stop it----at least with the OLD way there was directiions on helping a user to figure out what they did or did not want.  I vote for bringing back the OLD WAY or at least provide some step by step instructions for guiding the user on making their decissions.  This NEW way is too confusing!!!!!

Have been away for awhile and what a shock for a old guy to try and find my way around the new site. It is very colorful however and I like what you are trying to do but I prefered the old format.

I used to visit daily, and thoroughly enjoyed the site. It no longer interests me as it is riddled with errors, buffering problems and broken photos. It is truly a navigational nightmare and the eye appeal is gone. It's a shame you chose to destroy it in such a way.

If I am right, this comment section is about the new forum, not about the wonderful cams and sounds. I think we all are happy with the cams. But on the other hand, as an "old bomite" I must say you have taken the soul out of this place for many of us with this flashing, icon jumping, button infested, color coded, over sectioned mess of a so called message board. I loved making friends here, and I was lucky enough to have made such good friends and even met my husband here, as so many know, but I feel perhaps my time has passed at this site. I will just sit and enjoy the sights and sounds of the cams and I do thank you for that at least.  Also just for the record...I don't feel "user" challenged,or that I need a "dummys" guide to navigate. But my question to you is this...whatever happened to the sense of BOMA where we all sat at the same campfire and talked about the cams or the day? Do you really need a list of the animals that go to the waterhole? Isn't it enough (and nice of the folks that do it) that links of video and pictures are posted for those that missed it? The community seems so split and divided. Well...you DID ask. Thanks for letting me say what was on my mind.

Why the change??? Way too confusing, and the cam is so very hard to access. The old forum, in my opinion was better!
