The incubation period is stated to be 28 days, and if we only saw the first egg laid within close view on 23 Oct and never missed any before that, then I expect the chicks to hatch around 19 Nov. The water is about 1.5 m deep, shallower around the edges of the island where they can stand, so the LFs further away are swimming like swans. __________________

I have a question? If you look a this pic, it almost looks like they swim like swans, but is the water just that high where the walk? They don't seem to have the built for swimming on water like ducks or geese?

Can it be that eggs start hatching now? Or is it still too soon? __________________

It doesn't seem to be moving at all, so probably a broken egg with a chick in it. Pity. __________________
