MAN I never thought of that. A camera LIVE on ALF's feeder's. We than could have ALF man the camera and he could watch and see just what widdle critters are getting into his feeders. The kids would LOVE it. The big kids to..Smiling

So lets see now, 2 waterholes, eagles, osprey, barn owls, loons, horses, ALF's feeders....next>>>>>>>>>>:) tee hee

We could set up one here for my hummingbirds, quail, lizards, and scorpions!

Ms Charlie, did anyone ever identify the mystery flying critter for you?  I stopped at a Barnes & Noble bookstore yesterday and they said the book "Field Guide to Insects of Southern Africa" could be ordered.  That was the one book that mentioned the hippo fly with the scientific name.  They said they could order it and I wouldn't be obligated to buy it when it came in.  It is $32.95 so I would not want to buy it, but maybe it would have a pic of the fly.  I looked at all the insect books there, especially any from Africa, but didn't see any that were all black with that one white spot.  I still think it is an alien critter!  lol

Dear Ms Charlie,Good morning BC! A major frontal system is pummeling the North Coast today with rain and wind...so much so...that areas like Prince Rupert could see up to 70mm by the day's end. North and central inland areas will also feel the effects of this system today however, much lighter than coastal regions. As for the south...well... the forecast is simple...pull out your shades and enjoy your weekend! More details on your personal forecast...click... more...Sincerely,
Meteorologist Kristi Gordon

i drive people crazy - i allways look at all the things that can go wrong - so that things go  right-   err on caution

Than your my kind of expert. I want to know ALL the things that could go wrong FIRST than work back wards. I to like to error on the side of caution. The original box was already there. We had nothing to do with the original set up. I was told owls have used that red box for over 12 years. However, the staff there said they have found dead chicks every year directly below that red box...Sad

The adult Female was found dead in there last year. How or why, we don't know.
