Yea that's what we thought but I trusted your opinions. I so wished we could have taken it off from the bottom, that would have been easy. But oh no, that couldn't have been possible grrrr.

Well I guess I am off here for s bit, un-screw the whole thing, of which took us two FULL days to assemble....LOL.

Yup you can start laughing now...:)  and ALF thought HE had problems this week...LOL.

Just trying to help.  Taking off the top would be the path of least resistance not to mention being the least amount of cuts.

That looks like a really cool bed though.

Interesting delima to be sure.  Choices I can think of are reduce the height or raise the ceiling.  It would be much eaisier to reduce the height of the bed.  Would only require minor modifications (I think).

Take the peak out, read in cut it off, then cap with some flashing and straps to hold things together.

ChuckC, honestly, I think that's it. I can't take it off from the bottom and un-fortunately can only take it off from the top. Man is this going to be a pain. I thank you for this advise. I wanted to make sure I did this right. What is so frustrating, I only need to take off 2 1/4 inches grrrr. Now ya have to admit, you'd be ticked..Smiling So close, but close didn't help..Sad
