Sept 12 was my youngest son Michael's birthday. But Sept 13 was the 37th anniversary of the day I brought home my oldest son and became a mama. He was 2 months old at the time. (Thanks to all that wished Michael a happy birthday!)

I would like to share that last night my DH won his 2nd track championship of the 2007 racing season! We race dirt track modified and had a VERY successful summer. Way to go, Team 17!

When my husband passed away - I received a lot of support and understanding from all at the campfire. It meant a lot to me and I don't think I thanked everyone for that - a great big thanks!!!!!

My newest grandson arrived safely at 7:45 this morning. Weighed 3,36kg and was 36cm long. Mother, father, sister, baby and Gran all doing very well.

I am not sure that I was personally aware of your loss, at the time, but I can say, through personal experience, that the majority of Africammers, whether they are Bomites or not, have always given fantastic support to those who are experiencing difficulties - or who have good news to share - and will always do so!
Some of my 'Africam' friends no longer come here but I know that they are always 'there for me' when I need support.
That is the beauty of Africam - friends made here are seldom forgotten even when circumstances dictate that they no longer watch the cams or post messages.

I wanted to share one of the happiest moments of my LIFE. July 28th I became a Grandma. This was truly a moment I won't soon forget. I got to hold her 12 minutes after she was born...
WORLD meet Bronwyn Olivia Lee....I nicknamed her Peanuts.

It's been six years ago yesterday that my daughter joined the Navy. She left for bootcamp Sept 11, 2001. I begged her not to go because of all that was happening that day but she still wanted to go. Needless to say they made it to Atlanta and had to turn around and come home untill all was clear. So this is the sixth year anniversary that my daughter didnt listen to me, joined the Navy, and I am so very proud of her.
