The company who do the shark and whale trips are hugely involved with conservation and research of sharks, whales, penguins and seals in the area. They go to great lengths to make sure that all procedures are above board. Here are some links to the FAQ’s and some of their conservation work.

I personally would not enjoy watching a video of the sharks, but I would enjoy watching a video of the whales.

Thank you for asking

Just my opinion but being that no harm is being done the baiting is no more then the baiting of keeping a waterhole filled so the animals will come to drink there in the dry season when other waterholes dry up which is the case at where the cams are.  It isn't baiting to capture or kill which I would find objectionable.  JMHO.

I agree with others, I didn't like watching the baiting.

I agree with the other posts about baiting.  It takes away from the spirit of Africam which is to view wild animals in the natural habitat.  This shark baiting feels cruel.  We are setting the animals up for potential harm.

I agree with Exey... it's believed that baiting for the tourist's pleasure is causing the sharks to come closer to shore and there are more attacks on surfers here in the islands.
