Our new day is greeted by the lovely Firey Necked Nightjar and Cape Turtle Dove doing a duet.

Are those our E. Geese around the back of the hole at NK?

yes i think they are. Did you see them land earlier ? they sure were in a hurry to get to the waterhole

No, I missed them land.  But I did see a different bird land in the front of the NK water hole and then fly off quickly.

I thought I just heard a different sort of bird's call (different to me at least).  Sort of a repetitieve coocooocooocoo?

I heard that too, very low and deep sounding?

Yes.  I heard it twice.  Second time, I think it sounded like a low primate kind of coo, you know?  So, maybe it was the Baboons or the Vervet Monkeys?  (All supposition on my part.)

Well, whatever it was it sounded pretty cool. 

McK -- how's your hearing?  Did you hear a Lion in the distance at some point recently too?

I can't say that I have heard anything... I have been in and out of the room making dinner.  Sorry about that.  I do have my volume all the way up.

lion just called again !

That time, I heard him.  Sent shivers down my spine, even in the distance.

Great... I missed it again!

Lone Hyena calling.  I think that's the one Dreamer calls her lone Hyena.

Was my lonely Hyeana calling me again ? I missed him

A white tail Mongoose just stopped by for a quick drink

I SAW THE MONGOOSE TOO, HE SURE WAS IN A HURRY!

SOunds like a Rhino back there somewhere or maybe ellie ??

something startled E & T ..and what was that other little sound ?  Something on left side after the EG

looks like 2 white tail Mongoose or is it mongeese LOL

sounds like the Mogoose just found the Lapwing nest

What are all those small noises ( not the squeaky mongoose )  ?  almost sounds like a Jackal ..but then again ? 

I have to ask - what do E & T stand for? I'm assuming you're referring to the gucks. Did you name them?

Something smaller and dark exited stage left a minute ago. I was hoping someone had seen it to ID. I just saw it leave out of the corner of my eye.
