6:39 pm CAT NK Jackel turned suddely and started pawing the ground. Did this several times then turned and went back to the right. The other one at the water hole just took off like a bullet. Turned sound on but did not hear anything. Wonder what disturbed them. Zoomies can you check the log by the waterhole to see if the baby is there? Thanks Callie, truly, there is no baby (Jackal pup) that ends up in the log. The pup, by this point, is not even small enough. As explained by Josh, the log was inspected and that opening is not a hole. There is a gnarled piece of wood there, inside the log, where you believe you saw a pup.
