I think it was a honey badger. That might explain the strange shreiking earlier.

I'm not sure if that was a cat, but it was large, and it didn't look like a hyena...although there is one whooping nearby...and then I think I heard the Copps owl...???

The sound of something dying, I think. Perhaps a jackal caught something? Or was the predator bigger. It had quite a growl.
