I think maybe we need to retitle this Sightings and Listenings Discussion Smiling

I think the Elie is still nearby at NK.  I keep hearing "chuff" sort of sounds.

Yup. Sorry.  But keep your eyes glued to NK.  You'll see him again, I just know it.  (He was beautiful and no, I didn't get a picture.  I can't do that--we need you video and picture folks back in action here)

4:36 am CAT NK Waterhole

I hear the sound you are talking about but there is nothing to be seen yet except the Egyptian Geese.  They were in the waterhole but are moving around now.  Another sound I can not identify.

I like the heart too sagresta

Geese are out of sight now

Not sure Calie.  Ingwe posted in the Sightings data thread that she hear Burchell's Coucal and Natal Spurfowl (I think).

Have you ever tried the Sounds of Nkorho to try and figure out which birds are being heard?  I used to do that, but, I got lazy.  It can be fun to guess, listen, and see if you can find it.  Funny, I can't find the link to it anywhere but I know it must be here somewhere

Yes smalldog I have gone to the sounds.  They don't have a lot and I find most of the ones I hear are not there.

Thanks for the come back.

Lots of Wildebeests & four calves

Now we have Zebras. & Wildebeests at the Waterhole.

Beautiful sight.  Can not see in the log to far away.  Can you get a closeup to see if the BBJ pup is there?

Loved the four zebras with their heads together looking towards the camera, like they're posing for their picture.

@NK All the impala are looking in the same direction to the left. Even moving in that direction. Wonder what is there.

@EP we have the backside of an ellie between the tree branches. Doesn't he know we want to see???

That's great Kinty! I have seen lots of animals there, but generally from such a distance and so quickly, you're not sure you saw anything at all. Smiling So nice to have zoomie this am.

Did anyone get a photo of the log at NK with the BB Jackal pup in it?  CallieG said (in the Josh Q&A thread) that she ID'd it.

And just a shout out to those who can make video's too, for the video threads.

sd, I video, but I'm not even sure of what Callie is refering to as 'the log'. Is she talking about where the fill pipe is located. Not much of a log there any longer that I recall, and I haven't noticed anything being there except some birds sitting there, and the occasional baboon.

I'm not sure either.  I thought it was the log near the filler upper, but, I don't know.

Hyena and Jackals were at it again last night, and, mixed in with their vocalizing, there was a different kind of Jackal sound, a "mew" sort of cry that might have been a pup?
