At approximately 06:15 CAT at NK I saw several wild dogs? run very fast past the front of the lodge and into the tree line to the right. The zoomie did an excellent job of staying with them, but they were gone in a flash and too far away for a close up zoom.

4:11 am CAT NK Hi Kara what was the animal that gave the high call? Does the hyena make that sound as well? I noticed that someone mentioned them.

Saw a hyena I believe (dark critter) messing around with the buff skull. Departed to the left in front of the mound. __________________

Well at 2.20 am there were some activities starting Baboons alarming, Hyaena passing and woohooping, birds (lapwings, francolins) calling too. At 2.45 Black- backed Jackal calling a long time and just one short soft Baboon call. Pearl spotted Owlet calling a few times too. More sounds also, but not easy to tell who is making them. |
Fantastic Ann!
Did anyone get a video? *fingers crossed*
