Sounds as if it is a blustery afternoon with the wind at EP and NK. Hard to believe there haven't been any sightings since Midnight.

At 3:18pm there is a single Impala ram in the field, who was first laying down with a lapwing close by, then he got up to feed at NK. The picture at NK is quite blurry, but recognizable. There are the dogs running in the background just now. Smiling The picture at EP is having some kind of problems again, with lots of buffering.

@NK Thank you zoomie, yes indeed they were baboons. That one baboon was bigger than the impala standing next to him. Wow!

Haven't seen a critter at EP since I got signed on today Sad

Gerda, do you have a link to what the call sounds like? or a verbal description? I am not familiar with that bird call I don't think Puzzled

I am headed over to check out the pictures posted and see if there is any new video.

Just now I heard a very clear haunting vrooooooooo, going down in volume at EP. don't know what bird is making that sound?

I heard it calling several times already at EP the last few days.

Oooh Gerda, that is the sound I heard then. To me it sounds like a very clear haunting verooooooo, vroo vroo vroo vro descending in scale. It reminds me of a bird that I hear when I go to the ocean in Maine. It could be that I was hearing some sort of eagle there?

Thanks for the link. I will try to catch a recording of it if able. Poor EP is buffering so bad this afternoon, it's making it hard to hear anything.

Howdy everyone

Auntie Lyn... I think the bird you might be hearing up in Maine is the cry of the Loon. I am pretty sure it sounds somewhat simalar. The Bald eagle has more of a shrill screechy cry for lack of a better description. I tried looking for link of the call but haven't found one yet.

I'm getting a picture (stop and go but still a picture). I'm using Africam's pop-up player on the left orange bar.
