Hi rebeccavee,

The colobus monkey occurs in many African countries (Angola, Benin, Burundi, Côte d'Ivoire, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, Kenya, Liberia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda and Zambia) but not in South Africa.

Apart from baboons, you also find vervet monkeys in the area where the cam is located.

busy morning at NK today! early morning brought herd of impala that stayed around for at least an hour. The giraffes came up a little bit later (3 of them) and stayed for about an hour eating and drinking. Of course, the night was filled with all kinds of sounds, and at dawn the monkeys went ape....lol. It sounded like either baboon or colubus(sp) monkeys, although im not sure if they are indigenous to Tanzania. We saw them in Cameroon.
