There was a suggestion that we should have a sightings log, where cammers could check back for the latest sightings.

We have been working on this rough list and need your help!

Let us know what you want from such a list.

How about adding a link, and asking future contributors to this list, to the list so that those of us who have missed them can take a look?

Having the name of the animal, and dates seen, does not really help as we then have to do an extensive search - and then have to trawl through (potentially) many search results - to find the sightings.

This is a great idea. What about the Christmas Eve lions (kill)? Maybe have an entry for any kills.

Thanks Auntie Lyn. I added the date!

Does anyone have a date for the African Wildcat?

Here is a pic off my video: http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=62g9csw

I know we just had one more recent, but I can't remember the date, and I didn't get a video or snap.

This one was snapped Oct. 15th 2006

Thanks a lot, Aquila!

I added Oct. 15 for the scrub hare. If someone has a confirmed date for a later sighting, the date can be changed.

It is a scrub hare isn't it? Or are their other types of rabbits around the water hole?

As far as I know the scrub hare is the only hare/rabbit like animal that occurs in the area.

This might be a Slender Mongoose. I snapped pictures off of a video recorded on Nov. 30th in the morning.

Love this idea. Whose responsibility is it to add to the list ?

Lea, anyone can add dates etc., as a reply to the topic.

Then the mod's will update the list. When we get it going we will delete a lot of these replies and run it like the birthday calendar in the campfire.

It will also be helpful for everyone to add sightings (time and what was seen only) to this topic http://www.africam.com/boma/viewtopic.php?t=4709
