![]() Starling ExtravaganzaSubmitted by Tabs on Wed, 09/01/2008 - 1:12pm. MeetsStoaty has arranged a Meet to watch the fantastic aerobic display of the starlings, in Somerset, West of England. http://www.foxybiddy.com/page/starlingspectacular/3The Meet will be on Thursday 24th January but Stoaty is also willing, if there are enough people interested, in taking visitors Red Kite watching in mid-Wales on Friday 25th and then to Slimbridge Wildlife and Wetlands Centre on Saturday 26th. http://www.gigrin.co.uk/http://www.wwt.org.uk/centre/122/visit/slimbridge/.html Sunday could be spent visiting any of the many attractions in the area, such as Roman Bath or Prehistoric Stonehenge - or even in London as there are good road and rail connections. There are plenty of reasonably priced hotels in the Bath area - Stoaty has a list of these - and if you want to join us, please e-mail him - or send me a pvt message ____________________________Founding Member of the AAA - Africam Addicts Association. This is going to be a great Meet - some of my WLC student friends, and fellow Africammers, will now be joining us - and we are extending the meet from Thursday 24th Jan to the Friday and Saturday to include a visit to Slimbridge WWT centre and, hopefully, a visit to Gigrin Farm, in mid-Wales, to see the Red Kites. It is not too late to join us - please pvt me for Stoaty's email addy as he is organising this meet and he can advise you about places to stay and other attractions in the Bath/Bristol area. ____________________________Founding Member of the AAA - Africam Addicts Association.
