africam page-  thank you

Hey cammers,

Having recently been confined to a low bandwidth mobile connection I cant help but notice that the homepage or 'landing page' can take an age to load and is often unsuccessful in doing so. I do wonder if this relates to the amount of content on the page, which is significant.

This is not a complaint, lets be clear about that. Just some observations from a very different internet experience than I am used to. My 'standard' connection can eat almost any amount of data without so much as a pause for breath, but a low speed connection has a real trial with the site at times.

could we have a back to top button at the bottom of the forum pages?  i don't like scrolling all the back to the top of the page.

Would it be possible to the air temperature with a bazels? Perhaps the temperature manually must constantly be automated,so that none? If not, you could the temperature,to all 60 minutes update?.

I do not want to be ungracious or unkind, but I have to wonder if one of the local chimpanzees are running the camera tonight. The NK has been fairly quiet animal-wise, but there are plenty of birds around. I enjoy both the animals and the birds and keep a little list. However, the camera is really not zooming in on any of it. I see lots of birds, like some kind of sandpiper in the water, but no zooming in to get a good look. But, just when you think no one is operating it, the camera does a slow nosedive to get a close look at some empty grass at the base of the camera.

I keep looking for that great video of the ellie finding the pump handle to raise the water level at Nkorho.

Videos like that should be found with ease.

Can anyone tell me where to find it?

mabe we can get an automatic message that warns you when something is really facinating and tells you what webcam that has that facinating thing that is live on webcam so no one misses anything facinating and the reason no one knows me on africam is because at first  I did not know how to participate with africam

This morning, opening up Tembe cam, I was confronted with an ad for Hunting Safaris.  While I appreciate the fact that the ads keep this most precious site free, the subject ad seems to contradict everything Africam is about. 

Personally, I could not shoot anything and cannot imagine going out with the intent to kill any one of the beautiful animals we see on here just for the thrill (or any other reason for that matter).  Just doesn't seem right in this day and age to want a "trophy".  I thought we had evolved a bit.
