Africam Converting to Flash Video

As you have seen over the last few weeks we have been updating our site and converting our live streaming cams to Adobe Flash video as well as adding our new camera "Flamingo Island" which is also in Flash.
We are still experiencing a few techincal glitches but are addressing them all as quickly as we can. Today, we have been working on the actual video output itself, and you should see a nice improvement in quality.

Every day a new Chat topic will be created called "The Boma"
Upload your videos on Africam
Submitted by paulpen on Tue, 07/07/2009 - 11:52am.Africam will be launching their video upload feature with the new Front Page. Videos that are uploaded will be displayed on the FP from most recent to oldest to start with. It will in effect show what animals have been at the waterhole recently. The videos must be recorded content from the live cameras.
We want to share all the great Africam videos that you make with the rest of the community instead of them being posted on other video sites across the interent. We want to build this concept into something special that everyone can enjoy hopefully on a daily basis.
New Front Page

Virus Reports
Submitted by admin on Mon, 16/03/2009 - 1:03am.We have noticed some users who are reporting a virus that apparently originates from the Africam site. So far it has been tricky to pinpoint the cause with sometimes conflicting information.
We suspect tho it is one of the ad networks that are servicing pop unders on the Refresh Cam popup pics and we have been using a network there that i had almost forgotten about. Be that as it may we have disabled them forthwith.
