just out of curiousity, has anyone here ever been to Tansania?

Anyone from the Berlin (Germany) area, maybe?

I am asking because I just booked a flight. Originally me and my wife meant to go there only next year (due to our financial status), but we then decided to sell some stuff (Ad link removed by moderator), so we will be going by the end of this year.

Maybe there is someone who would want to give some advice on what to do there, maybe someone from around my area who would want to meet up and maybe show some pictures?

Kate and myself are planning a UK Africammer/WLC meet this summer, around the M3/4 corridor (Maidenhead or further west) to watch the fantastic Red Kites - and other birds - see the local sights and share a bottle or two of Amarula.

Dung spitting may be an optional extra, if we can source the dung! and 'Springbokking' will also be on offer!

Unexpectedly I visited the town of Murten today.

It was only decided about two days ago that a busdriver will take us to Murten, a medieval little town in the neighbourhood. I know Ursula lives there and I contacted her via email and today we met.

It was a very short visit, but very pleasant and the town is very pretty.

I thought I heard a group of people singing the happy birthday song on the elephant cam.  Wish I was there celebrating with them!  Have fun

As time passed and Hanneke and I were both on Africam  some day we discovered that we are living very close in distance with eachother.

We often talked about a meet and Hanneke invited me many times to come and visit her.

well last Tuesday i mailed her : I am just home and if i am welcome i could come and visit. I mailed this at 20.00

Hanneke replied at 21.15 and i saw it later.. and i replied at 21.45 hey isnt it to late now?

She replied NO it is not to late! and i said ok 20 minute's

I made a tour in Morocco in November and luckily the tour starting point was Casablanca. So it was natural to think meeting with Noblos(with encouragement of Ice-age). Unfortunately I had a very tight schedule and our two meets were short.

We have rent a mobile home and so we were on our way to meet Ursula again. Roland  and I sleeped in Ursulas guestroom and

 the rest of the family sleeped in the camper.

on Saturday at 10:00 pm we arrived (very late) and Ursula was still waiting with supper !!!!
