Is there a problem with the sound/microphone with the Tembe Cam?

If you compare f.i. Idube or Nkorho sound quality with Tembe, you can hear the huge difference. So this is evidence that there is no problem with my hardware here, because I can switch between the cams and hear the difference. Could be a different setting for the streaming to different parts in the world, that must be the explanation for this issue. Maybe the admins of africam have set it so. And that explains, that you both hear it in high quality, but not me Sad . Hope in half a year its sorted...  Sad

Sound good for me also. You might check your computer audio settings?

It sounds like the microphone works, but the quality of the stream is so low that the sound is absolutely not useful and therefore like off.

Please check this for all of us.

Regards

Hi wilddog,

Tembes sound seems to be fine on my end. Can hear the roosters, elephants drinking, birds. That is with sound at 60%

Hello Kevdog777, The message you are seeing is outdated. The Tembe microphones were broken by elephants some time ago but have since been repaired. A request has been made to have the message removed. Thanks!

What has happened to the microphone at Tembe?

There is a note on screen saying: "Elephants have damaged the microphone at Tembe, we are working on getting it repaired", but that has been up there for months.

It still works, as the sound is still coming out, but maybe not as clear?

The lights are solar powered and there was not enough sunshine yesterday to keep them going all night.  Hopefully today is a sunny day and they will last all night tomorrow night.

Did the earlier elephants damage the light at Tembe? It's been in total darkness for a few hours now.
