Good Africam evening all.  Thanks to those who posted the pics and video so that we could see what we missed.  I hope tonight brings us good sights and sounds at the waterholes again.

Hi and bye everyone.  just my usual quick check in during lunch break (which is now over).  So many posts since I left for work and I see no real answers as to what happened.  See you all after work.

Its so sad watching him, i hope it was quick and he wasn't in too much pain.

The horns are in the ground, with the lower jaw uppermost, on the right hand side of the image. The face markings show as the white patches. The poor animal was contorted in pain when it died, but it was quick.

Thank you, Krukab.

I can see it kicking its legs and can see it trying to breathe but i still cant see that its a Nyala - the light/cam view is really poor but it has a really large white tail. I'm not sure but your prob right with your assumption.

Have they said that the Rangers have been out to see him yet?

the head of the nyala is upside down

if you watch the video you can see its legs kick in the

air and the white part on face is the chin

not sure if this has been asked before, but if it was a Nyala how comes we cant see its horns? it looks like a big critter so im guessing the horns would be equally big on the poor thing. Whatever it was it looked like it was in a lot of pain! Sad
