WELCOME and join us at the AFRICAM BOMA FORUM .

Monday 12  September 2011

Please note the cams you are talking about, NK for Nkorho,EP for Elephant Plains, TE for Tembe, BE for Black Eagle,PO for Pot Plant Owl.

Cam Pics from yesterday (Pingu-Geschu-Tourneyman1-Mavis), more great pics  here

Happy  camming  and  chatting !!

Africam:

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please stop posting rhino sightings in the cam pic  thread until further notice.

Sadly an incident has been confirmed of a young rhino been poached in the SW part of SabiSands (some way from NK & EP but distance is not the issue).  We have implemented additional measures. One of those is that we will keep the cameras away from rhino for all our cameras. So please respect the decisions of Zoomies when u think there may be some critter around but the camera is not moving there. Thanks for your considaration

i just looked at the africam face book site
addressing the sensitive issues around showing Rhino's on the live cameras.

about 26 questions asked-           only one asks

are web cams contributing to rhino poaching

the others want to know what is being done to stop it

just had quick visit by ellie at te.  Also had a quick sighting of jackal at EP but couldn't tell for sure if it was black backed or side striped since it wouldn't hold still long enough lol.  And saw a duiker at NK a while back.  so critters are at all the waterholes just slow going right now.

Ti i saw a lone bokkie on TE about 10 minutes ago a few birds by the waterhole no ellies as yet, yes tonight we came home in a minibus straight to your door, no wind whining just blowing not like you hear in the bush or at sea but it is still wild outdoors.

Good evening Doris, hope you will be careful out if you are having high winds there.  Seems calm at the cams right now but lots of great pics posted from today and always have hopes that something will show up at anytime.

Hi all.  Back again and thanks to those that posted the pics so we can see what we missed while away from the cams.  I hope we have lots of good sights and sounds tonight at the waterholes.  So glad to hear the NK water pump running so is filling up again with water.  Good camming all.
