Hi all, I'm back again and hope we get a good night of sights and sounds at the waterholes.  Last I heard it was hoped that the new cam controls for NK would be put in on friday so hope that goes well tomorrow and the cam will be back to working properly for us.  Thanks to those that posted pics in the daily pics thread so we could see what we missed while away from the cams.  Good camming all.

Hi, anyone here? I saw all those ellies at TE this morning. Is it a gathering of different groups. Some of the males seemed quite aggressive, pushing little ones out of the way. Is it mating time? Should I be asking these questions somewhere else? It just seems a very interesting gathering.

Hi Irene, very good question, there really were many and I just asked on Tembe's facebook page when the last time was that area had really good rains. We can see a borehole on the cam and the ellies love to drink there and that's why they sometimes push each other out of the way. The ones we see are mostly bulls, with the breeding herds in another part of the park. But I did see some young bulls betweem them today, they will old enough to have left the herd to join the other bulls.
I hope this answers your question in a small way?
