Wonder if that was all thunder, wasn't watching the cam at Nk....

Because of the cold air, the snow is light and fluffy   :)

   to  help members  that check the    day-by-day sightings journal

 i have add the first  sighting of each bird and animal

 to the   2009 dates 

N E W  Y E A R    -   2 0 0 9

 examples   are

 Blue wildebeest (connochaetes taurinus) * first  nk

Grey heron (ardea cinerea) first nk

 Nyala (tragelaphus angastii) * first  e.p.

 Hadeda ibis (bostrychia hagedash) first e.p.

and also first babies caught on cam

from november 24

       watching a northern flicker at the suet feeder

      thier very shy bird and any movment and they fly off

      and return when im not near the door

Seems many of us lost the site.  The snow keeps coming down here.  And it's very cold.  8 F.  -13 C
