Do you have any pictures that show the beauty of the four seasons? If yes, please share them here.

At the moment the rape is in full bloom in Denmark and North Germany. The colours are incredible.

I love the idea of this thread, Katja! I wish I had something more to contribute, but we had a hard freeze for several days after several warm ones and all the flowering stuff froze. A few things are just now starting to bloom again and a lot of things won't bloom again this year. I did get the following pictures at the park yesterday. I don't know what kinds of flowers they are, I just saw them growing at the base of some of the trees and had to take a picture! :D (I do know that the yellow ones aren't dandelions, though.)

I took this one on the 5th of May.

It's on the Little Tennessee River at the base of Fontana Dam in the Great Smokey Mountains of North Carolina. It had just quit raining and a nice low level of fog was rolling in on the fisherman.

I'll post a link to the pic since it's a little big.

The wood where we go dog walking are a mass of Bluebells at the moment. Here are just a couple of the pics we took.

Every time I walk my dogs in my local park I regret that I have not taken my camera because the views of the woods, the river (with the ducks and other birds) and the island reserve are sometimes breath-taking, even though it is a narrow park - but my dogs can be very naughty and if I stopped to take a pic they would disappear, and when they do that it can take me a long time to get them to come back to me!

Here's my offering. These were taken a while ago when I went to a race in New Hampshire. Pictures are from the Maine coast and the light house is the Portland Head light house. Was either Sept or Oct when I took them.

My daughter took this picture a couple of days ago of a neighbor's rose:

And this morning on my walk through the park I took this one of a clover flower:

My lily will be blooming soon, so I can get a nice picture of it then. And I hope to get out to my grandma's house soon before her irises have stopped blooming to photograph those.

Hi Faeriedust, Very nice photos ! The Pink flower is a Plumeria, or Frangipani. It is one of the flowers commonly used in making Hawaiian Leis :D . The unknown tree looks to be a Papaya, and yes the fruits do kind of resemble a gree coconut the way they grow in clusters. Your photos made me homesick for So Miami, I used to have all those plants in my garden there :D .

Thank you for the compliment and the identification Wild dreamer. The flowers here are so different from what I'm used to in New jersey... I hardly know what any of them are here but they are so beautiful and exotic. I will add more pictures once I get them on my new computer and take more :D

It's for Smoking meat....Country Ham :D Yumm

The bottom is made of stone and it stays very cool and you hang you meat in there to cure after it's been salted.

We don't use it, the previous owners used it as a dog house :? I love taking pictures of it and I have done a pastel of it as well.
