I do know that the animals get used to the vehicles and accept it as a part of life. And I've been there on the camera end too. It is because we love animals and want to share their world and we are contributing to the local economy and the conservation efforts. But I still think it must be kind of weird for the animal. When I was snapping pictures of hippos with three other boatloads of people I did think "I wonder what the hippos are thinking about this."

LOL, Jeannie. The ellies too close to humans frighten me much more than the lions. Hi Boyz. Good to finally catch you on at the same time. Did you see the lion? __________________

NK Ranger posted the other day that a landi was following a leopard and they figured out that the leopard was useing them to help in its hunt so they went off and left it
I think that leopard was Safari, she is blind in one eye. __________________

I've got to leave for work in a bit but, Aquila, if you're reading this, please record it if the lion shows back up again. I managed to catch this one but hate the thought of missing it if it does a repeat show. Reckon I'll have to wait until tomorrow to work it into a video. Sounds like it's still mighty close! __________________

What was so cool.... Mr. Lion made his appearance almost exactly 6 hrs on the dot of the leopard sighting that started the big 5 clock ticking. BIG FIVE in 6 HOURS!! Whoo HOO __________________

I am too, Marsha! I'm so happy I could BURST! So glad you saw it too (you did, right?). I just rewatched it on WMP and it was awesome all over again. This has been the most exciting evening by far.
Can't wait to hear from the rangers, though. I'm worried about the leopard.
Gotta go! Y'all have fun Africamming!!
